An intrinsically safe RS485 to RS232 protocol converter for the Hydrogen fuelling (fuel cell) industry.  This device supplies safe power to an infrared (IR) Nozzle Receiver and also converts the RS485 data safely into RS232 for the station control system.

Unique Notes

This project was meant to replace an obsolete version of an older protocol converter.   The old version had no custom electronics, a poorly designed enclosure, and had many in-line components resulting in messy and confusing wiring.  This new version features a cheaper and lighter enclosure, fewer components, and a clean and simple assembly process.
